The VR Workforce Studio is a podcast produced by WWRC for individuals with disabilities, employers who hire individuals with disabilities and vocational rehabilitation professionals and staff who work with individuals with disabilities. WWRC is the comprehensive vocational rehabilitation center operated by the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. This show is produced by Rick Sizemore, Director of WWRC and is offered as a podcast by the WWRC Foundation. The VR Workforce Studio podcast champions the causes of individuals with disabilities and chronicles their journeys to employment. This podcast brings you interviews from the front lines of disability employment. Hear individuals describe their disabilities and the stories of triumph over the impediments to employment and more importantly “how they did it.” Hear employers describe the transformational impact of hiring someone with a disability on their organizational culture and productivity. This podcast gives you a front row seat as individuals with disabilities, their families, employers and vocational rehabilitation staff open an unprecedented showcase of stories about talented workers that are positioned to carry our state’s workforce and national economy forward. This podcast hopes to bridge the gap between highly qualified and talented job seekers with disabilities and businesses/industry who need to maintain the talent pools.
